7782 Amplifier Specifications
APPLICATION
The AE Techron 7782 amplifier is the fullest featured member of the AE Techron 7700 Amplifier Series. The 7700 series are AE Techron’s most powerful single-channel amplifiers. The 7782 is the best solution when situations are the least defined. The 7782 is ideal for situations requiring short-term, burst and/or continuous power, where load impedances are above or below 2 ohms.

A single 7782 can provide 40 mSec bursts of over 180 amps peak. If additional power is needed, the 7782 can be connected in series and/or parallel to create arrays of amplifiers capable of pulses in excess of 500 volts peak and 600 amps peak.

The 7782 can operate in either voltage or current
operation modes and is DC coupled.

FEATURES
> Over 4,000 watts peak output; 2858 watts rms into a 2 ohm load
> 40 mSec pulses of up to 150 amperes peak into a 1 ohm load
> Can be connected (up to four units) in series or parallel with other 7782 amplifiers.
> Utilizes Bi-LevelTM Smart Power supply, able to generate both high voltage & high current with less heat then with a standard single
level power supply.
> System output of 500 volts and 200 amperes maximum are possible with multiple, interconnected amplifiers.
> Frequency bandwidth of DC to 50 kHz at rated power, DC to 100kHz at reduced power.
> Rugged chassis for stand alone or rack mounted operation . No additional power supplies required.
> Protection circuitry protects the 7782 from input overloads, improper output connection (including shorted and improper loads), over
temperature, over current, and supply voltages that are to high or to low.
> Shipped ready to operate from 208 or 240 volt, three-phase ac mains. Operation from 380, 400 or 415 volt ac mains are available on request.

INDICATORS AND CONTROLS
> Front panel LEDs indicate power, standby, high high ac mains, high temperature, signal overload and faulty output stage.
> Front panel slide switch to place amplifier in run or standby.
> Front panel slide switch to reset indicator LEDs.
