AE Techron President Larry Shank Featured on "Huckabee" Show

March 2009 - AE Techron President Larry Shank was featured on “Huckabee”, a news variety show hosted by former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee. 

Mr. Shank appeared alongside members of Elkhart’s banking and RV industries as part of the “Save This Town” series to discuss how the economic downturn was impacting Elkhart County. 

Gov. Huckabee spoke with Larry about the AE Techron product that simulates lightening strikes for aircraft testing.  Mr. Shank used this opportunity to highlight Elkhart’s technology sector and discuss AE Techron’s range of precision electronic products. 

Mr. Shank was impressed by Gov. Huckabee’s intelligence and interest in Elkhart County. 

He felt that the show portrayed Elkhart County in a positive light and hopes that engineering talent will look to Elkhart for career opportunities once the area gets back on its feet.

Historically, Elkhart has enjoyed low unemployment, which makes the current recession especially difficult. 

But when things improve there will be a need for talented individuals to help Elkhart develop its reputation as a top technology sector.
