8200 Series - Next Generation Assembly Process
The 8200-series amplifier is manufactured using state-of-the-art Surface Mount Technology (SMT) that makes use of smaller, more lightweight components that are mounted directly to the surface of the printed circuit board. Due to SMT, the 8200 series is significantly smaller and lighter than conventional gradient amplifiers. In addition, lower resistance and induction is present at the connection at surface-mount devices, which leads to better performance for high-frequency parts. SMT also provides reduced noise, fewer unwanted RF signal effects, and increased resilience against shock and vibration.
