8200 Series - Next-Generation Programmable Compensation Network

Compensation for the 8200-series amplifier is highly configurable and customizable via controls located behind the Compensation Network access panel. Configuration options include:

  1. 1. Default RC Network (CC1)
  2. 2. Unpopulated RC Network (CC2)
  3. 3. Pin header for use with a daughter card (CC3)
  4. 4. Programmable Compensation Network (CC4)

Each RC network can be used independently, and one or more networks can also be combined. This flexibility allows precise tuning of the amplifier compensation and can also allow a user to switch quickly between alternate configurations, if desired. See the simplified circuit diagram below for an overview of compensation options available in the 8200-series amplifier. For information on compensation alternatives and instructions on configuring the programmable compensation network, see Appendix A: 8200-Series Alternate Compensation in the 8205/8210 Operator's Manual.
