Electronic Application Engineer

This position is located in Elkhart, IN.

What you'll do:

  • Technical support for current customers applying our products to new applications
  • Help customers determine if a problem is improper customer use or application, or if it is a damaged product
  • Liaison between customers, prospects, our sales team and engineering team, helping them to determine which product best fits the customer's need
  • Supporting customers from the Aerospace, Automotive, and Imaging (MRI, NMR, MPI) industries; customers doing basic research in fusion and antimatter; and customers in multiple other industries
  • Conduct product tests to verify performance under conditions specified by prospects
  • Position will report to the company President

Position Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field from an accredited institution required
  • Good interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with leading scientists and researchers worldwide via written and oral communication
  • Experience trouble shooting complex problems and finding creative solutions in a technical environment
  • An intense customer focus
  • Ability to work in a hands-on laboratory environment with common lab equipment (O-scopes, DMMs, network and spectrum analyzers, etc.)
  • This is a position that will require an onsite presence
  • A passion for learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics or Mathemetics from an accredited institution
  • Experience managing people and projects that involve tasks like assembly drawings, PCB layout, software development, and validation testing
  • 3-5 years' experience doing Application Support in a technical environment
  • Experience testing products to EMC standards.

Other Important Information:

Pay/Salary: This is a salary opportunity.

Core Hours:8:00 am – 5:00 pm (schedule can be slightly flexible; will work approximately 8 hours within this timeframe).

Typical Work Week: M-F; 40 - 45 hours a week (average).

Travel: None required; may have the opportunity to attend regional trades shows.
