Gradient Amplifier Series: Robust, Low-Noise Gradient Amplifiers for Imaging

AE Techron is an industry pioneer in MRI. Our engineers developed some of the first commercially available gradient amplifiers ever made. We bring this experience to the design of every new gradient amplifier in our product line. The AE Techron 7000 Series gradient amplifiers are high-power, DC-enabled linear amplifiers with an integrated power supply. They offer a wide bandwidth and exceptional control of drift and distortion.

One key differentiation of AE Techron gradient amplifiers compared to typical gradient amplifiers from other suppliers is the very-low-noise linear topology. A key benefit of this approach is the elimination of switching noises, which makes it possible to achieve good image quality with magnetic fields below 100 mT. Because the 7000 Series has no ripple noise, no synching with the console is required.

The 7000 Series products can function as either a voltage or current source, making them valuable for environments with multiple applications. The 7224 model uses single-phase AC power, while the 7548, 7796, and 7794MRL models operate using three-phase power.

By further reducing the already low system non-linearities found in our other MRI systems, The 7794MRL is able to be used successfully in research systems with field strengths as low as an amazing 6 mT.

7224 Gradient Amplifier

Up to 50 Ap / 158 Vp, DC to 1 MHz, Single-Phase

7224

Gradient Power Amplifier

The AE Techron 7224 is a 50A capable, DC-enabled gradient amplifier with integrated power supply, that offer wide bandwidth and exceptional control of drift and distortion. Its small size and ability to run from 120V/230V single-phase power, makes it ideal for use in small bore systems, in the lab or classroom. Its linear design provides a very-low noise floor and fast current rise times. Because the 7224 has no ripple noise, no synching with the console is required. Reducing system complexity when creating small custom imaging systems.

Up to 100 Ap / 195 Vp, DC to 100 kHz, Three-Phase

7548

Gradient Power Amplifier

The AE Techron 7548 is a 100A, DC-enabled gradient amplifier with an integrated power supply that offers wide bandwidth and exceptional control of drift and distortion. It has enough current and voltage to drive coils used in larger animal systems. Making it a great choice for department level systems in education or research. Its linear design provides a very-low noise floor and fast current rise times. Because the 7548 has no ripple noise, no synching with the console is required.

7796 Gradient Amplifier

Over 200 Ap / Up to 180 Vp, DC to 100 kHz, Three-Phase

7796

Gradient Power Amplifier

The AE Techron 7796 is a 200A, DC-enabled gradient amplifier with an integrated power supply. The 7796 can be combined in parallel or in series to create even larger voltage or currents. Its wide bandwidth and exceptional control of drift and distortion, make it a great choice for education or research. Its linear design provides a very-low noise floor and fast current rise times. Because the 7796 has no ripple noise, no synching with the console is required.

7794MRL Gradient Amplifier

Up to 200 Ap / 100 Vp, Voltage or Current Source, Three-Phase

7794MRL

Gradient Power Amplifier

The 7794MRL gradient amplifier provides a solution for the unique requirements of Low- Field and Ultra-Low-Field MRI.

One key differentiation of AE Techron gradient amplifiers compared to typical gradient amplifiers from other suppliers is the 7794MRL’s very-low-noise linear topology. A key benefit of this approach is the elimination of switching noises, which makes it possible to achieve good image quality with magnetic fields below 100 mT.
